Overview

The Seventy-second Infantry Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.

History

In 2764, the unit was stationed on St. Andre[1], assigned as a part of the XXIV Corps, Fifth Army, to the Capellan Confederation Military Region and transferred to District 2 of the Capellan Confederation Military Region by 2765.[2]. The Seventy-second survived the Periphery Uprising and the Hegemony Campaign, and followed General Aleksandr Kerensky on the Exodus in 2784.[2]

Officers

The commanding officer in 2764 was Major General Raoul "Cajun" LeHarbin.[3]

Tactics

All of the division’s BattleMechs are jump-capable. The infantry brigades are trained in boat handling, long-range scouting and small-unit tactics.[3]

Composition

As an SLDF Infantry division the Seventy-second would have been formed from two brigades of grunt infantry and a brigade of light BattleMech regiments.[4]
