Cullen Craig was an officer with the Northwind Highlanders, serving as the commanding officer of Stirling's Fusiliers, Third Battalion in 3058.[1]

History

Cullen enlisted into the Northwind Highlanders and rose to the rank of Major, commanding a battalion on Stirling's Fusiliers. On that regiment, under Major McFranklin's command, the unit become too little specialized. By 3058, McFranklin's death and replacement by the former Capellan Loren Jaffray caused trouble, both to Craif and to Major Kurt Blakadar. Jaffray wanted to turn the regiment into a better trained one, and his complete overhaul disgusted both Majors, which complained soundly, both to Jaffray and to his superior, Andrea Stirling, resisting the changes.[2]

After the Fusiliers had been contracted to take Wayside V from the Clan Smoke Jaguar, he, alongst with Blakadar, the 14 May, had a meeting with Loren and the unit's Chief Technician. Jaffray discussed with them the changes to the unit, incorporating all available Jump Jets 'Mechs to the regiment. Craig louldly protested it, but Jaffray refused to change his orders. The same day, Craig went to protest directly against colonel Stirling, but she refused to change Loren's orders and gave him all his support.[3]

But his survival didn't appeased Craig: after returning to Northwind, he adressed to an Assembly of Warriors, blaming Jaffray for all the losses, and when they refused to listen him, he left the Highlanders and promised to revenge of their treason, as he called it.[4] By 3067 Craig had joined Swann's Cavaliers, where he was the commander of Charlie battalion. He was a popular choice to succeed Colonel Edmund Repplier, the Cavaliers' commander.

BattleMech

Craig's only known 'Mech was a Victor.[5]
