Danica Holstein was the leader of a Heimdall cell in the Fourth Succession War. As of 3029, she was working for the Kell Hounds as the captain of the JumpShip Bifrost. She was also the mother of Clovis Holstein.

At some point early in her life, Danica Holstein came into the service of Duke Aldo Lestrade IV on Summer, for whom she worked for some years, eventually becoming pregnant by him in an illicit affair. During the raid that killed Aldo's father and made him Duke, she fled the planet with the aid of a Heimdall cell. Within six months, Danica's only son, Clovis, was born. Other children were often cruel to the young man, but she would comfort him with tales of his father, whom she claimed was a bold MechWarrior who would someday come to take them both away.
