History

Derek-Jaim Clees fought through many battles that left his face and body disfigured in horrifying ways. Despite carrying the Bloodheritage of Khan Samantha Clees he was bounced from unit to unit not for any lack of combat effectiveness, but for being a ardent opponent of the Mongol Doctrine. Finally landing at the Jade Falcon School of Conflict on Blackjack he did his best to deprogram his charges of that belief, only to realize the futility of it in stark relief during a 3147 pirate raid on the school.[1]

When the touman departed for Terra, Derek-Jaim and his sibkos were left behind. In the vacuum that followed Syndic Marena made diplomatic overtures to him repetedly, seeking to add him and his students to the Alyina Mercantile League. Each time he refused, but always diplomatically. Finally on 31 December 3151 he agreed to join the League under one condition, she must defeat his students in a Trial of Possession. With the Raging Horde and Light of Heaven, Star Colonel Margolian of the AML was able to obtain possession of the School and the Warriors therein. Later. Derek-Jaim confided to Marena that he had no desire to fight for the AML, being too old and set in his ways. The entire Trial was merely to ensure his students would be able to continue serving with honor. Marena granted his request of bondsref, and stayed with him as he drank the poison that ended his life.[2]
