Biography

Gordon Stuart was a Capellan MechWarrior serving with the Lothar's Fusiliers of the Chesterton Reserves during the final years of the Third Succession War, seeing intense urban combat along the Liao-Davion border. Devoted and loyal to the Confederation and its defense, Stuart twice refused promotion in favor of remaining with his urban defense lance and his battered but serviceable UrbanMech, the Gallant. [1] [2]

Despite his devotion to the state, Gordon Stuart attracted notoriety when he spoke publicly against the Confederation's new Concord of Kapteyn ally the Draconis Combine, harboring nothing but contempt for House Kurita.[1] [2] His superiors incensed by his forthright public manner, the Capellan Confederation Armed Forces opted to reassign him to hot spots along the Free Worlds League border in an attempt to ensure he suffered an unfortunate accident, but by 3025 Stuart both survived and his fame continued to spread, with those fighting alongside him also increasingly echoing his anti-Kurita sentiments.[1]

Stuart's attitude would prove prophetic when the Combine failed to assist the Confederation during the Federated Suns blitzkrieg invasion in the Fourth Succession War in 3028. Bitter and disillusioned, Gordon Stuart and many of his comrade abandoned the Confederation, ultimately joining the First Republican Guards of Pavel Ridzik's short-lived Tikonov Free Republic.[2]

BattleMechs
