History

The Marshals of Tikonov were raised as the main garrison for Tikonov, the capital world of the Tikonov Commonality and home to several important factories. The unit's 'Mechs were mostly seventy-five tons or heavier, with only a few lighter weight units. The Marshals of Tikonov defended massive fortresses and factories.[2]

Rebirth

The Marshals were reborn in 3145, following a handful of Death Commandoes infiltrating the Tikonov system in August of 3145. They were tasked with uniting and training the planet’s large amount of pro-Capellan partisans; much of the unhappiness caused by the planet's transfer to the Federated Suns.[1]

As the CCAF launched their second attack on Tikonov, these partisans revealed themselves. As Earthwerks’ corporate security forces were widely compromised, this allowed for the capture of their BattleMech production lines. Due to commandeering numerous BattleMechs, the partisans caught the Davion defenders completely off-guard, strongly contributing to their eventual defeat.[1]

Afterwards, Chancellor Daoshen Liao proclaimed these partisans would immediately be granted citizenship and inducted into the CCAF as the reborn Marshals of Tikonov.[1]

  • Between 2786 and 2807, the composition of randomly-generated lances from the Marshals of Tikonov are determined using a single roll on the Random Unit Assignment Tables per lance, with all of the lance 'Mechs being the resulting type. Between 2808 and 2819, the lance composition is determined using two rolls on the Random Unit Assignment Tables per lance, and from 2820 lance composition is determined using one roll per 'Mech per lance.[6]
  • When generating Marshals of Tikonov forces using Random Unit Assignment Tables during the First Succession War, the Marshals of Tikonov receives a +4 modifier to each roll on the appropriate table.[7]

The Dark Age

  • As a Capellan Hussars force, the Marshals of Tikonov ignore any opponent’s special ability that would impose a negative Initiative modifier against them. In addition, the Marshals may use Off-Map Movement, and their infantry units always execute their Anti-’Mech attacks as though they are at full strength, ignoring any modifiers imposed by trooper casualties.[8]
