Following the reunification of the Free Worlds League in 3139, the Military District was created by the reborn Free Worlds League Military for deployment and administrative purposes.^[1]

As of 3145 the FWLM's units were divided between four Military Districts:^[1]

Augustine Military District: includes the Augustine Alliance, the Covenant Worlds and the Clan Protectorate.

Oriente Military District: includes the Oriente Protectorate and the key independent worlds of Atreus, Aitutaki and Ionus.

Gibraltar Military District: centered around the Duchy of Tamarind-Abbey and the rimward border with the Wolf Empire.

Lesnovo Military District: encompasses the Rim Commonality and neighboring independent worlds along the Periphery border near the Marian Hegemony.
