Description
The Parash is a light BattleMech developed and produced by Clan Hell's Horses at Manufacturing Site #3 on New Oslo in the wake of the Jihad[1]. To meet the need for new light BattleMechs, the Parash was designed not for the role of scout, but for supporting its combat vehicle formations, and was influenced by the success of the Pack Hunter and the ancient SLDF Hussar. The 'Mech is designed for speed and carries a single weapon, but is armored with seven tons of standard armor, boasting better protection than its contemporaries. The Parash additionally shares the Pack Hunter' jump jet capacity, able to reach up to 210 meters.[1]
Weapons and Equipment
The 'Mech's only weapon is its right arm mounted Series 44h large pulse laser. To support its role as a scout, the Parash mounts an active probe, ECM suite, and TAG.[1]
Variants
- Parash 2
- This experimental tech version of the Parash, developed in 3084[4], exchanges its large pulse laser for an experimental ER large pulse laser. The electronics packages were also replaced, swapping the standard ECM suite for an experimental Watchdog ECM and a exchanging the TAG for a more advanced light TAG[1]. BV(2.0)=1,523[5][4]
- Parash 3
- This 32nd century experimental tech variant was fielded in 3083[6] and reportedly first appeared by in combat between Clans, deployed by Clan Hell's Horses, in 3086. Perhaps the most mysterious of the Parash variations, this variant differs from the standard and second versions by featuring a highly experimental interface cockpit. Designed as a scout and raider, the 'Mech features Angel ECM suite, a large pulse laser, Bloodhound active probe, and has different head than previous two designs. BV(2.0)=1,753[7][6]
Design Quirks
The Parash 3 variant is subject to the following Design Quirks:[7]
