Ross McKinnon (born 3015 - died 3077[2]) was the commander of the famed Fox's Teeth BattleMech Company, a role he inherited from his father Ian McKinnon.[3]

Early Life
McKinnon graduated with honors from the Albion Military Academy, where he used his mother's last name, Serran.[1]
Marriage and children
He married his lance-mate and bodyguard Sara Lytton in 3053.[4]
Service in Fox's Teeth
Ross McKinnon joined the Fox's Teeth after his uncle Mark died, joining a slot in the recon lance. After Kate Nomura retired, he took command of the recon lance.[5] He took over command of the unit when his father retired in 3051.[1]
Jihad and Death
After serving for years in the AFFC he led his unit into the coalition of Chandrasekhar Kurita. After Kurita's death, McKinnon joined the fight against the Word of Blake on the side of Devlin Stone. Stone gave him orders to make probing raids into the Protectorate and later to train local resistance groups. McKinnon's last live signal came from Tigress in 3076.[3]
McKinnon died on Hamal in 3077.[6]
