History[edit]
Ryan Searcy was the executive officer of the Twenty-first Centauri Lancers from 3058 to 3067.[1][2] He was being groomed by Evelena Haskell to take over after the unit, though she was working to change his belief in leading from the front.[1][2]
When the Lancers participated in Operation GUERRERO, attacking New Canton, along with McCarron's Armored Cavalry, he voiced his suspicions that the Capellans were using them as cannon fodder to punish the Lancers for their defection from the Capellan Confederation military decades before. She agreed with him, but didn't want to break their contract.[3]
The next day, after the MAC had caused the Lancers heavy losses, he attended a meeting with Evelena and MAC leader Colonel Marcus Baxter, in which Baxter accused Haskell of causing the attack to fail. After Baxter had left, enraged, Searcy informed Evelena that the Lancers were grumbling, because they shared his suspicions and fears. He suggested that they leave and end their contract with the Free Worlds League, and in a meeting of all upper Lancers officers, they agreed to do so. After the Lancers left for Outreach on 30 November, Searcy was present when the colonel informed the Lancers of their new contract, to garrison Terra for ComStar.[4]
Searcy's fate is unknown, though the commanding officer of the Twenty-first Centauri Lancers in 3071 was James LeMonds.[5]
BattleMech[edit]
Searcy piloted a modified Berserker BattleMech.[1][2]
