Samual "Shorty" Sneede was a member of the Snord's Irregulars mercenary unit.

History
Among earliest members to join Snord's Irregulars at age 31, hailing reportedly hailing from world of Aur. Samaual was cheerful, outgoing, and hard drinker, whom started his career with by smuggling BattleMech parts from the field marked as cooking supplies. He would become a MechWarrior due to his technical skills building his own Mech. He would be well known for his signature first BattleMech, a Hybrid Rifleman. This mix-match Mech made from various size & classes which would be term later known as FrankenMech.[2]
He would remain with the unit until 3060s, when he would be killed assassination by Katherine Steiner-Davion loyalists on Odessa whom framed Pro Victor Steiner-Davion forces trying get the two forces to destroy one another.[citation needed]
BattleMechs
During the Third Succession War Sneede piloted a FrankenMech Rifleman he had rebuilt himself. The so-called RFL-3N Rifleman Sneed featured a Phoenix Hawk head, Warhammer right arm and the left torso and arm from an Archer, with only the center and right torsos and both legs left from the parent design. Built around the 3N's standard 240 rated fusion engine, much of the weapons and ammunition from the donor 'Mechs was retained, Sneede's custom being armed with a right-arm mounted PPC, left-torso mounted LRM-20 with two tons of ammo, and three Medium Lasers - one fitted to the right torso and two to the left arm. Carrying a total of fourteen single heat sinks, Sneede's patchwork Rifleman was clad in nine tons of armor.[1] [3]
Following 3037 and the Irregular's unveiling of recovered SLDF material, Sneede piloted a Crockett[4]
At the time of his death in 3063, Sneede piloted a Lancelot,[5]
