Star Cluster 1108 is a star cluster located in the Deep Periphery.[1]

System Description

Star Cluster 1108 is a significant astronomical feature in the spinward Deep Periphery. Located a little over 1,988 light-years from Terra, the cluster is relatively behind the Orion A and Orion B clouds, as well as the Orion Nebula. The location of Star Cluster 1108 was released by Interstellar Expeditions on charts in 3095.[1]

Notes

  • Star Cluster 1108 was first identified in 2012 with the publication of Interstellar Expeditions: Interstellar Players 3. Other than the astrographical location of the cluster, no information was provided in the system; in the absence of further information on the Deep Periphery no further detail is likely to be available on Star Cluster 1108.
  • Interstellar Expeditions: Interstellar Players 3 depicts two astronomical features named "Star Cluster 1108," though their depicted positions are just over 1,812 light-years apart. In lieu of an official correction, Sarna provides each cluster its own article, appended with the appropriate sector.
