After the IlClan Trial, Clan Wolf became the IlClan, but Khan Alaric Wards taking almost all the available warriors to Terra left the Wolf Empire totally defenseless. However, it has a remaining high officer: Star Colonel Othar. He, acting by his own initiative, took the control of all the Empire's resources and began creating two new Galaxies: Lupus Galaxy and Rufus Galaxy, paired so a Rufus Cluster garrisoned a key planet and a Lupus one assisted them when they were under attack.[1]
The 101st Wolf Garrison Cluster was defending the planet Kalidasa on 11 December 3151, with a Trinary garrisoning a Quikscell factory, when they were attacked by the Gryphons regiment. The Wolves caused the Gryphons moderate losses, making them to retreat of the plant. Through January, the invaders fought a battle of attrition, but the Wolves could easily repair and replace their equipment in the planet's manufacturing and storehouses. On 5 February, the 101st paired Lupus Cluster, the 93rd Wolf Striker Cluster, arrived to assist them, but the arrivals of the Falcons regiment turned the tide when the Gryphons were to retreat. However, distrust between both regiments prevented them to crush the Wolves and a stalemate between invading and defending forces ensued.[2]
