Planetary History
During the Jihad the Capellan world of Mitchel was subjected to a hugely destructive raid by troops wearing AFFS colours. These allegedly Federated Suns attackers targeted the most populous industrial centres on Mitchel for their attacks, attacks which included detonating two nuclear weapons as airbursts over the two largest cities. Not only were the nukes targeted at the major population centres on Mitchel, but they had also been laced with cobalt, contaminating the area around the explosion - literally "salting the earth" - and decimating the population.[10]
