History

Fourth Succession War

At the start of Fourth Succession War the Fifth Amphigean was stationed on the world Harvest alongside the mercenary unit Helmut's Hermits and a considerable number of supporting regiments. The regiment was taken by suprise by the attack of the 1st Lyran Regulars, the 3rd Lyran Regulars and the 4th Donegal Guards during Operation Gotterdammerung. The 5th LAG was eventually being forced to retreat to Kirchbach. However, the LCAF attacked Kirchbach during the exploitation phase. Kirchbach was defended by the 5th Amphigean LAG and two additional DCMS 'Mech units, Helmut's Hermits and the 17th Rasalhague Regulars. The Lyran task force consisted of the Tyr Regiment, Winfield's Brigade, the 4th Donegal Guards and the 3rd Lyran Regulars. The DCMS units were driven off-world in short order after the 17th Regulars have been crushed by the Tyr Regiment.[1]

War of 3039

Vega

In April 3039 Vega was hit be the Federated Commonwealths 3rd Davion Guard and 3rd Lyran Guards regiments. The Fifth LAG and the 14th Legion of Vega where forced off world.[2]

Destruction

The Fifth was shattered during the Clan Invasion when Clan Ghost Bear attacked Krenice.

The 48th

The Battalion sized Mercenary unit known as The 48th is made up of the surviving members of the Fifth Amphigean Light Assault Group.

Officers

  • As of 3050, the commanding officer of the unit was, Tai-sa Helen Cassidy.[5]
