Originally a member of the St. Ives Mercantile League, Atlas was conquered by the Federated Suns in 2364 after the best of the St. Ives military forces were ambushed and destroyed alongside a pan-Capellan strike force during an ambush on Lee. The Mercantile League was unable to contest the invasion and lost seven worlds to the Federated Suns in a matter of months.[4]

Second Succession War

During the Second Succession War, Armed Forces of the Federated Suns Captain Wedge Donovan of the Eighty-first Combat Engineers Company annihilated a company of Capellan Confederation BattleMechs in the mountains using explosives and construction equipment. He did not survive the battle.[29]

The Jihad

The Word of Blake launched a number of attacks during the first week of April 3069, some of which resulted in worlds being incorporated into the Word of Blake Protectorate; Atlas was one of the worlds the Blakists targeted, raiding with a mixture of Blakist forces and mercenaries.[30]
