Dark Age

When the Blackout afflicted the Inner Sphere's HPG network, Ayacucho's own station remained partially functional but could only transmit data; anything more complex than a simple carrier packet would not be received.[34]

As of the 3140s Ayacucho was considered to be a thinly populated world.[35] Upon proclaiming the formation of the Buena Collective in July 3146, Warlord Diego Widmer added Ayacucho (his own homeworld) to the new nation.[36]

On June 6 the next year the LCAF counterattack reached Ayacucho, when the Florida Timbuktu Theater Militia landed there and made for Widmer's personal estate. Running into unexpected resistance from the half-formed Second Collective Guards, the two sides soon settled into a stalemate that lasted for several months.[37] By January 3148, however, anti-Widmer sentiment had grown amongst Ayacucho's public, and LCAF reinforcements had arrived. Despite the surprise appearance of the mercenary Thunderstruck unit on the Collective's side, the Lyran forces soon triumphed and returned Ayacucho to Commonwealth rule.[38]
