System Information
X:Y Coordinates607.345 : -136.463[e]

The Bamburgh system was the location of at least one habitable world or construct and as of 2750 was located in the Edgeward Beta Combat Theater of the Crucis March within the Federated Suns.[1]

System Description[edit]

The Bamburgh system lies near the Arundel and Bartrock systems.[1]

System History[edit]

The Bamburgh system was colonized during the Star League era at some point after the end of the Reunification War.[2][1] Bamburgh vanished from maps during the Second Succession War,[3][4] indicating that the system had been abandoned or depopulated.

Planetary History[edit]

Despite the planet's potentially lucrative nickel mines, JumpShip trafic reduction made it too expensive to travel there and the last one departed around 12 April 2783. By then, people were running out of supplies and began stealing from each other, and some did whatever was necessary to obtain money to buy passage off-world.[10]

In one instance, a group of locals downed a mercenary Marauder to steal one of its weapons but were caught in the crossfire between several factions and killed. Rescued by two kids, the mercenary pilot took them off-planet while the locals were killing each other.[10]
