Bowen's Arrow was the official name of the unit working for Bowen Kincaid, composed in great part by Waco Rangers' reserve battalion.[1]
History
Bowen Kincaid was kicked out of the Princefield Military Academy and barred from reenlisting with the military when his father, Baron Oliver Kincaid, was dishonorably discharged from the Free Worlds Guards. He blamed his father for the loss of life he could have had, and when the baron passed away in 3023, Bowen believed he deserved neither dignity nor honor in death and wanted to see the family's Archer—the last vestige of their heritage—destroyed.[1]
The whereabouts of the Agincourt had been lost with time but possible locations were mentioned in the baron's notes. Due to the 'Mech's famed reputation, Bowen was able to make a ton of C-bills selling fake coordinates on the black market, using the funds to contract out the Waco Rangers' reserve battalion under the command of Major C.H.G. Keller on a short-term basis until he found it. He anticipated his sister Kate might reach out to Nik's Cavaliers for help, since it was one of their father's final wishes to bequeath the 'Mech to the son of the late Nikolai Mason, whom the baron served following his dismissal from the FWL military.[1]
Bowen's Arrow forces were late arriving at a decommissioned base on Bernardo where the Agincourt was once stored, encountering strong resistance from Nik's Cavaliers and forced to withdraw. Luckily for them, it was actually hidden in a city on Berenson and Major Keller was able to set up a forward operating base and dig in before the Cavaliers arrived. It mattered little, as the Cavaliers overran their defenses and found the 'Mech, killing Bowen Kincaid in the process. With his death, the rest of the Waco Rangers withdrew from the field.[1]
