Description
The Chalchiuhtotolin Support Tank is a Clan combat vehicle was produced for Clan Jade Falcon in post-Jihad era. Clan Falcons' leaders ordered the vehicle creation due for the need to produce a vehicle for use in urban combat. Clan Merchant Factor Daniel had been responsible for the named the vehicle. The Chalchiuhtotolin was conceived by a group Clan Jade Falcon Scientists and Technicians known as the Eagle Craft Group. The Group then handed the designs to Clan Jade Falcon controlled manufacturer known as Quikscell Company of Pandora.
The vehicles in its intended as a combatant in urban environments, is powered by standard 230-rated Fusion Engine, which propels the vehicle up to 86 k/mp. The tank's hull is protected by 6.5 tons of Ferro-Fibrous armor.
The Chalchiuhtotolin has also been traded to Clan Wolf as part commerce between the two Clans during 3080s.[2]
Armament
The tank weaponry was designed accurate as possible while minimized damage property and civilians in urban duties. The Chalchiuhtotolin's main weapon is its turreted mounted Kolibri Delta Series Large Pulse Laser. The energy weapon is backed up by a pair of Pattern J4 Streak-4 SRM launchers that are also found in the turret.
For the anti-infantry and crowd control purposes, the vehicle has four Series 34NC Light Machine Guns. These guns are mounted all the vehicle's flanks with two dedicated front of the vehicle. Pair of Raid Micro Pulse Lasers are also mounted in Tank's the front arc. With a dual purpose in mind, a single JF 4 Flamer is added to the turret. The vehicle flamer utilizes two ammunition bays to draw from, with option adding alternate ammunition in the intentions help firefighting crews in the cities. The vehicle has single ton of ammunition dedicate for each the Streak Launcher and its Light Machine Guns. To help migrate the vehicle's heat, it fitted with twelve heat sinks.[3]
Variants
- Chalchiuhtotolin (Chemical Laser) - An experimental variant of Chalchiuhtotolin which features a Chemical Large Laser in place of the Large Pulse Laser. A pair of ER Medium Lasers are installed in the turret as back up weapons to Chem Laser. Vehicle also has been given two Chaff Pods in place of the Vehicle Flamer. Remaining tonnage is used up to increase the tank's armor protection[4]. BV (2.0) = 1,177[5]
- Chalchiuhtotolin (Bombast Laser) - A second early Dark Age experimental variant of the Chalchiuhtotolin, which uses mix of experimental Inner Sphere technology. Based on the Chemical Laser version, the Chemical Large Laser is swapped out for a Bombast Laser in the turret. While the Vehicle Flamer is restored to the Tank, the two Chaff Pods are removed for a Targeting Computer[6]. BV (2.0) = 912[7]
