Damien Lucille was a Manei Domini agent. Presumed to have been born on the hidden world of Jardine in 3039, Damien Lucille, sometimes referred to by his moniker "Lucifer," was a Poltergeist Precentor Sigma in the Word of Blake's elite Manei Domini. Not much of his personal history prior to joining the Word of Blake is known, and what is known of his career is scant and fragmented. Most sources describe Lucille as being a hand-picked subordinate of the Precentor Domini Apollyon who was born and bred in the life of heavily-modified with experimental Blakist cybernetics.

History[edit]

Lucille was present in Hope, the only city on Jardine, when Dr. Brooklyn Stevens found the hidden world and actually landed there. Answering directly to Precentor Apollyon, he was subsequently involved in the attempt to preserve the world's secrecy by capturing or killing all intruders as well as natives who had lent support to Stevens's team.[2] In an attempt to lure the intruders' JumpShip into revealing itself so it could be destroyed, Lucille eventually left Jardine aboard the DropShip Hera's Shield and transferred to the K-1 DropShuttle Stiletto-7 that was used as a trojan horse. What they did not know was that there were actually two competing JumpShips. Lucille and his battle armor-clad troops ended up ramming their K-1 into the DropShip Kaylin, boarding it, and then implicitly used the captured vessel to also capture its JumpShip, the Broken Knee in November of 3067.[3]

In the early days of the Jihad, Lucille served alongside both the Opacus Venatori and the Second Word of Blake Militia when they made their assaults on Donegal and Coventry, and assisted them in their campaign against Lyran resistance groups on both worlds. Lucille was noted to use the colors of the Fifty-second Shadow Division on his 'Mech, but was never listed on the official rosters of that unit.[1]

Lucille is perhaps best known for his duel with Paul Masters, in which he hunted down, drew out, and slew the Knight in the outskirts of the city of Helmdown on Helm in 3069. Lucille used the civilian populace to draw Masters out of hiding, indiscriminately slaughtering residents until Masters emerged to face him. Though the aging Knight was a worthy opponent, he was no match for Lucille's wired reflexes and augmentations and was vaporized by a point-blank PPC blast from Lucille's Griffin.[1]

Reportedly Lucille met his end on the world of Moore when, during the Blakist invasion, a mysterious explosion in the swamps outside the capital city ignited a chain reaction that led to a continental firestorm. The Precentor Poltergeist perished in the blaze, along with much of the local population.[1]

Damien Lucille was known to pilot a GRF-3M Griffin.[1]
