For Loyalty or Money is a short story by Randall N. Bills, that was published in 2004, within the sourcebook MechWarrior: Technology of Destruction. It deals with the fighting over the Port Howard HPG during the 3133 Battle of Towne.

Plot summary[edit]
A force of Landgrave Jasek Kelswa-Steiner's Stormhammers, under the command of Kommandant Tamara Duke attempt to seize Towne's working HPG in the city of Port Howard on 28 August 3133, which is being defended by Republic of the Sphere defenders including a Lance from the Twenty-First Centauri Lancers under the command of Captain Chak Rasbid. The Stormhammers manage to seize the HPG for a time, and broadcast a call to arms to any Lyran Commonwealth sympathizers within the local populace from Landgrave Jasek Kelswa-Steiner, but retreat shortly afterwards due to dissention between Duke and her troops.
