Mercenary General Pat Hampton of Hampton's Hessens had obtained a copy of the New Dallas Memory Core, and after successfully returning home, lobbied New Hessen's local manufacturers into producing several Retrotech designs using local resources. The Primitive Hammerhands and BattleAxe BattleMechs were two of these designs. In addition, the factories produce a variety of combat vehicles for the local militia and for sale.
