In 3057, following the collapse of the Sarna March into what was now the Chaos March, civil war broke out on Hall as self-styled "Emperor" William Baranov sought to bring the world under his control. Count Radcliffe McNally hired the Burton's Brigade mercenary unit to bolster his forces (the McNally Guard. Meanwhile, Cater's Cohorts split off from Baranov's forces to form a third major player in the war. After Major Cater's rebellious troops were forced to withdraw to Hall's southern hemisphere, the three major factions on Hall settled into their respective territories.
Baranov was slowly gaining the upper hand in the ongoing conflicts, and with the arrival of the fresh Stealthy Tigers mercenaries in late 3066 vanquished McNally's forces in the field, killing the Count.
