Overview
Ishtar was settled in 2320 and was one of the earliest worlds settled within Flannagan's Nebulea.[2] Ishtar is the principle farming world of the Taurian Concordat. It has the distinction of being the only undefended world in the Concordat. The planet was demilitarized in an effort to make less attractive to raiders and pirates. There is no ComStar facility or any heavy industry on the planet. The highest technology located here is used to make some of the best wines in the Taurian Concordat. The planet is graced with magnificent vistas and terrific natural beauty. Most of the planet's economy is based on producing foodstuffs and related goods. In fact it is the Concordat's main agricultural world.[1]
