Description

Marv is one of the four worlds of the Khwarazm Empire, located coreward from the Inner Sphere.

Marv is a mountainou world covered with large desert areas, with temperatures slightly warmer than Terra. Khwarazmi technology is well below that of the Inner Sphere.

The Khwarazmi people are poor, subsistence farmers, while the merchant ruling class lived in relative opulence. This all changed after the Clan Invasion, as Clan Jade Falcon severely courtailed the ruling's hand freedoms.

The Explorer Corps wanted to infiltrate some spies to gather intelligence on clan movements through the region, while also supporting anti-Clan resistance in the empire.

Notes

• Clan Jade Falcons occupied all the Khwarazm Empire in 3049, suggesting location in the Jade Falcon invasion corridor coreward of Lyran Commonwealth.
• Commentary from one of the BattleTech Line Developers suggests that the Khwarazm Empire was destroyed or depopulated during the Wars of Reaving:
