Description
Meaning The Great Goblin in Japanese the O-Bakemono is considered by many to be the ideal fire support 'Mech. The O-Bakemono weighs in at eighty tons and has a top speed of 64.8 km/h which is considered a good ground speed for an assault 'Mech. The O-Bakemono carries fourteen tons of armor with CASEto protect the 'Mech from complete destruction in the case of an ammunition explosion. Overall the O-Bakemono accomplishes its mission as a fire support 'Mech well and with the 'Mechs intended combat mission and long reach both the speed and armor protection of the O-Bakemono are considered more then adequate.
Armament
The primary weapons on the O-Bakemono are a pair of Shigunga Arrow IV Systems. The Arrow IVs have an efective range of up to three kilometers allowing the O-Bakemono to stay at extreme ranges and rain missiles onto the battlefield while freindly units spot for it. For close range defense the O-Bakemono has two Diverse Optics Type 20 Medium Lasers and a ChisComp 32 Small Laser.
