Palladix was a member of the Magistracy of Canopus when a Star League Defense Force task force under the command of Captain-General Marion Marik was assigned to conquer the Magistracy of Canopus in 2577. Palladix was targeted by the SLDF in 2586 following the capture of Canopus IV in 2584. Palladix was defended by the 1st and 3rd Canopian Light Horse; the SLDF landed the VII Corps' 55th Brigade with the Juggernaut regiment of the Stewart Dragoons in support. Despite being outnumbered two to one the Light Horse regiments fought tenaciously, and Palladix was only conquered when both Canopian regiments had been effectively destroyed.[5][18][1]

Palladix would be occupied by the SLDF for the remainder of the war; once the Reunification War ended, a number of Magistracy worlds were annexed by the Free Worlds League, but Palladix remained a part of the Magistracy.[5][6]
