Planetary History

Star League

The world was originally colonized primarily by individuals from western Europe.[33]

During the era of the Star League, Sherwood was considered "rural" in that the world only had small settlements scattered across the globe and vast untouched wilderness.[34]

The 132nd Royal Jump Infantry Division earned its nickname, the "Sherwood Sheriffs", after rooting out a group of bandits that had been plaguing the citizens for decades in the forests near the planetary capital, Marion.[35]

Jihad

Although Sherwood was wooed back into the Federated Suns after the Jihad, the planetary rulers went on to implement the same kind of educational system on their world in the thirty-second century that Prime Minister Berko Okeke was driving throughout the neighbouring Filtvelt Coalition, markedly improving the level of education on the planet through a combination of tax and spending increases.[36]

Military Deployment

3079

- At this point in time, the 3rd Filtvelt Citizen's Militia were deployed across Sherwood, and Lackland. The 3rd was at 55% of full strength.
