Overview
Sparkling Spirits has been in operation for over 200 years in the water purification business. This has brought the Tsuki family great wealth and influence in the Court on Luthien. However, it is only the Tsuki's families skill at politics that have kept the company from being nationalized long ago. The battle to stay independent was a regularly recurring one during the Succession Wars.
In 3025, rumors began to spread that the Interior Minister of the Combine was looking to dissolve Sparkling Spirits. Though it was unknown if this was an actual desire to terminate the company or to make the Tsuki family grovel even more before the Coordinator.[2]
