The Dioscuri were a mercenary unit employed by the Federated Suns.

Circa 3025, their unit strength was two regiments of medium BattleMechs along with infantry support, and they were under contract to the Federated Suns. Their commanding officers at the time were Colonel Timothy Nels and Colonel Michael Nels, with the unit skill level being noted as regular.[1]
In the War of 3039, the Sixteenth Galedon Regulars was assigned to assault Thestria and remove the AFFS forces that were on the world. The Jade Falcon struck again in 3071 with Delta Galaxy. The command was during this time at regimental strength but the heavy fighting took its toll. Only two companies survived this encounter. The unit was a shadow of its former self.
Post-Jihad Era[edit]
The Dioscuri were in the employ of the Lyran Alliance at the end of the Jihad, and were stationed on Launam.[8]

The 2nd battalion acts as a scout force and harasses the enemy, before the assault elements of the 1st battalion hammer the enemies' flanks. Their conventional forces are usually deployed alongside their 'Mech forces.
