History
The Valexa Capellan March Militia is the March Militia unit of the Valexa PDZ.
After Operation Guerrero, the Valexa CMM underwent extensive training to improve their skills. This brought their skill levels up to "regular" and earned their commander a Syrtis Medal of Honor.[1]
During the FedCom Civil War the Valexa CMM didn't really engage. Their participation was limited to sending a single mixed brigade of troops to fight on Demeter and Tikonov. Though that brigade suffered losses, the returning troops brought a wealth of experience as well.[2]
In 3068 the Valexa CMM defended against CCAF troops.[3]
The DCMS attempted to redeploy the New Samarkand Militia along with the Toguran Military Garrison to the recently liberated worlds of Deneb Algedi and Telos IV in March 3077. However, the allied coalition rerouted these forces to garrison two newly-freed worlds on the Free Worlds League front, and assigned militia forces from the Federated Suns in their place. In the case of the Valexa Capellan March Militia, this meant being deployed to Deneb Algedi. This was an act that drew protests from Gunji-no-Kanrei Kiyomori Minamoto to General Belle Lee of the allied coalition. [4]
During and after the Jihad, the Valexa CMM sustained heavy losses against the Capellan Confederation. By 3079 the unit was functionally destroyed.[5]
By 3085 the Valexa CMM had rebuilt, and thanks to the tighter integration of the War College of Goshen and other local governments, the unit was both well-equipped and highly skilled.[6]
During the Capellan Confederation's raids into the Capellan March, the Valexa CMM was supposed to support the 4th Ceti Hussars. However, the 1st Liao Dragoons regiment wedged between the two AFFS commands. The Valexa CMM didn't strike the Capellan unit at all, which allowed them to inflict heavy losses on the Ceti Hussars. Leftenant General Allistair Beaverbrook, the CMM's commanding officer at the time, was killed by an "accidental discharge from a friendly PPC" several days later.[7]

Tactics
The 18 infantry battalions use their sheer numbers to wear the enemy down, then allow the armored companies to deliver the final blow.[1]
