Lieutenant Darrin Carter was a MechWarrior, who served with the Malagrotta Periphery March Militia, before joining the Black Dawn Mercenary shortly before 3062.[1]

Carter, while in his mid-twenties as of 3062, was lean and had unruly ash blond hair.[1]
History[edit]
After leaving the Malagrotta Periphery March Militia, Carter became the leader of a Scout Lance within the Black Dawn, a role in which his intelligence and quiet attentiveness were great assets. In 3062 Carter participated in an assault by the Black Dawn on a uninhabited planet (Coordinates 421.6, -399.2), while under the employment of the Federated Suns, supposedly to destroy a Pirate base. Tasked with hiding with his Lance in a river near the base, once the Dawn discovered their opponents were Word of Blake troops with advanced BattleMech rather than poorly equipped Pirates, he assisted his CO Major Attila Kovago to retreat back to the unit's DropShips.[1]
