Patrik Kell (29?? – 3027) was the co-founder of the Kell Hounds mercenary unit along with brother Morgan Kell.

Biography
Early Life
After attaining stunning marks at the Nagelring Patrick rose to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 10th Skye Rangers during the early 3000's.
The Kell Hounds Formation
The Kell Hounds were born even before Morgan and Patrick had thoughts of running their own mercenary command. Arthur Luvon, future husband of Lyran Archon Katrina Steiner and Morgan and Patrick's cousin, dubbed the two brothers the Kell Hounds after witnessing them as young boys running around and terrorizing a neighbor's flock of sheep. Arthur drew up the Kell Hounds' crest and predicted that the two would grow up to become great MechWarriors. When Arthur died, Morgan and Patrick used the money left to them to form the Kell Hounds mercenary unit which they created in 3010. Though initially mocked as rich boys playing mercenary, the two made quite the impression with their surprisingly advanced grasp of strategy and tactics, as well as a top-notch technical support staff. Patrick became executive office of the unit.
Mallory's World & The Defection
The Kell Hounds had grown to Regiment size by the time 3013.[1] Patrick rank became Leftenant Colonel when the unit expanded. In service of Federated Suns, Patrick had remained as 2nd Command the unit when Kell Hounds came to the aid of First Prince Ian Davion whom was fighting off invasion of by the House Kurita's 2nd Sword of Light Regiment being lead by Yorinaga Kurita. Hounds arrived too late, and Ian Davion died trying cover his people's escape.
Morgan Kell lead the Hounds to keep Yorinaga from taking Ian's body as trophy. In order to stop him, Morgan engages in a duel between him and Yorinaga. In course of the battle between Morgan's Archer and Yorinaga's Warhammer, Morgan mech disappears from active sensors of the all equipment on the battlefield. Yorinaga is unable hit Morgan, then Morgan make his BattleMech bow to Warhammer in samauri honor bound show of defeat. Yorinaga bows to him and withdraws from the battlefield after battle. Throwing his twin samarui swords to ground for Morgan.
After Morgan becomes withdrawn and reduces the unit 2/3 its strength and retires from the unit. Leaving Patrick in command, he refuses to take the rank of Colonel. The remaining members of the unit go through a depressive period which has been called The Defection.
