The Twenty-second Royal Infantry Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army. It was one of the SLDF's Royal units, which consisted of troops from the Terran Hegemony.
History
The 22nd Royal Infantry Division, the Pollux RCT, and 20th Army Headquarters were stationed on New Oslo prior to the Periphery Uprising.[2]
In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the LXV Corps, Twentieth Army, to the Periphery Military Region.[3] Their major duties were to support the movements of three Special Armed Services teams that roamed through the Twentieth Army's former area of responsibility in the Rim Worlds Republic.[1]
The 1829th Striker Regiment was part of the 223rd Brigade and was practicing using their 'Mechs to draw a force into a brigade-sized ambush. The 1829th had four companies of Talon BattleMechs which quickly destroyed threat forces.[1]
The 22nd was destroyed during the Periphery Uprising in 2765.[3]
