Dominion War
The 283rd Battle Cluster were assigned to assault Idlewind as part of the second wave of the Dominion War, The 9th Pesht Regulars commanding officer was killed early in the fighting and the ninth lost all unit cohesion. More than 90% of the unit's soldiers were killed[1].

In the novel Test of Vengeance by Bryan Nystul the unit commanded by Marcus Gilmour ias part of Rho Galaxy is the 288th Battle Cluster, this is possibly in error[2]
