Overview
The Fifty-third Jump Infantry Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History
In 2764, the unit was stationed on Lackland[1], assigned as a part of the LXIX Corps, Third Army, to District 2 of the Federated Suns Military Region, but was moved to an undisclosed area of the Periphery.[2] The units nickname of "The Cyclones of Castle Rock" more than likely originates from the unit using their jump packs during the powerful storms on Lackland's capital island of Castle Rock.[3]
The 53rd was destroyed during the Periphery Uprising in 2765.[2]
Officers
The commanding officer in 2764 is Major General Nirmala Wruck.[4]
Composition
As an SLDF Jump Infantry division the 53rd would have been formed from two brigades of Jump Troops, one brigade of 'Mech regiments and two Ground Aero Wings.[5]
