History[edit]
The Sixth Teng Hussars were stationed on Beid in 2765. When the Confederation joined the Star League, most planetary regiments were disbanded. One exception was the Teng Hussars, the private guard of the Teng family. They put a lot of pressure on the Strategios and St. Ives Prefectorate command to keep the unit intact. They were successful. This exemption caused a problem, particularly with the Centauri Guards units who were formed from other planetary regiments that disbanded. The Maskirovka was also concerned that the unit was more loyal to the Teng family than the Confederation.[2]
