History
The unit formed prior the beginning of the Succession Wars in 2750s, the was raised from militia companies in the interior Tikonov Prefecture. The Grenadiers paripated in the capture of Demeter from House Davion in 2765. FedSuns conducted series of incursions against House Liao's food producing worlds in Prefecture's Coreward worlds.
In 2778, 2nd Ariana's Armor unit partipated in rare "Armor vs Armor" battle against Davion mercenary company known as Simpson's Samurai on Genoa.
One of the Grenader's most famous fights was against heavily fortified outpost on New Florence. The unit's attack in 2782 was dramatized in form of a holodrama known as Charge of No Return. The battle against the outpost costed the unit number of Griffin and ShadowHawk BattleMechs in charge against outpost's defenders in the Cresidain Plateau. The peak of this battle was when unit captured the Davion's defender's DropShip.
Later in later in the 1st Succession War, the Grenadiers were re-organized and given additional fire-power, which included captured Marauders and they were given specially trained Jump Troops. In this period, the Grenaders were successful in raiding a fuel depot on Lee in 2812.
During the 2nd Succession War in 2874, the Grenaders station on Ingersoll, were devastated by surprised attack by the Free Worlds Guards. Fortunately, the unit was rescued by Warrior House Ijori's timely arrival, saving world from being taken. However, the unit's heavy artillery was lost in the battle.
The unit was stationed on New Hessen between 2998 and 3007. House Davion's Deneb Light Calvary conducted series of raids during Grenadier's defending the planet. In later part of this time, the Grenader's Aerospace Fighter forces's poor preformance caused the unit problems. However, its infantry & its Panther BattleMechs coordinated action were able successfuly fend of the Light House's attacks.
The Grenaders were completely destroyed for last time during Fourth Succession War.
