Bill Maignlov was a MechWarrior, who served within the Band of Five's Savage Lance, during the Dark Age Era.[2][1]

Personal Appearance

Maignlov was a large, muscular bald man with brown eyes.[1]

History

Ozawa

Maignlov grew up on Ozawa, initially in slums. When his parents were murdered by sword-wielding thieves, he was sent to a foster home near the city of Sapporo. There, he learned to pilot IndustrialMechs.[1] His new family life did not last. After his adoptive brother's brutal death, which authorities tied to Bill, he fled Ozawa with the Bannson's Raiders' The Scourge unit in February 3132.[1][2]

Band of Five

Joining the Band of Five, Maignlov took up a Harvester MOD, quickly developing a reputation for ruthless violence and aggression. From at least 3132 to 3133, Maignlov was a member of a Savage Lance within the Band of Five, commanded by Cita Moreno. His other Lancemates were Barry Segal and "Angel" Faust, though he had no friend amongst his fellow Raiders.[3][4]

His murderous approach to combat was appreciated by Band of Five CO Colonel Mikhail Korten, who often placed Maignlov in charge of ad-hoc formations of IndustrialMech MODs. This included a November 3132 raid on a Belyakov-Ourobouros scrapyard near the city of Flat on Acamar. Coming up against a Company of IndustrialMech MODs belonging to the Swordsworn's Prince's Men, Maignlov's outnumbered two Lances were unable to recover any salvage, being forced to retreat after an inconclusive engagement.[1][2]

BattleMech

Maignlov piloted an HVR-199M-B Harvester MOD, nicknamed Old Painless. He was known for charging enemies and assaulting them relentlessly with the 'Mech's combine.[1][2]
