Template:InfoBoxStateUnit Borodin’s Vindicators came into existence in late 3058 when Mandrinn Tormano Liao formed the unit with stolen money from the Free Capella movement's coffers.[1] Most of the unit’s personnel came from the Tikonov region and were descendants of the Republican Guard soldiers.[1]

History

Capellan Civil War

Xin Sheng Campaign

After the end of the Capellan-St. Ives War, tensions between Borodin's Vindicators and the Blackwind Lancers boiled over. The Vindicators hated the fact that Mandrinn Tormano Liao forced them to play second fiddle to the Lancers. After a training accident involving a Lancer 'Mech (later determined to be sabotage), the Vindicators engaged in outright combat with their rival unit. Despite inferior numbers, the Lancers held out, and after several hours the Vindicators broke and ran. The Vindicators' 4th battalion, among other elements of the Vindicators, were left behind and surrendered to the Lancers. The surviving Vindicators who reached their DropShips lifted off, rendezvoused with an unidentified JumpShip and disappeared. [2]
