ProfessionPoint Commander

Point commander Ean was a trueborn aerospace pilot of Clan Jade Falcon, who would join the Clan Smoke Jaguar Protomech program.

History

In 3050 Ean was shot down on the planet Apollo, in the Jade Occupation Zone. He survived, but was wounded, and was hospitalized. There, where he recovers, he known a freeborn native, Dr. Vikram Khatri, from hindu origins, who tell him the tale of eagle king Garuda and his fight against the Naga, a race of poisonous cobras.[1] At the beginning, Ean didn't want to hear it, but later ended enjoying the stories of doctor, and as Jade Falcon identified himself with Garuda. Ean never discover the end of the legend, as Vikram has been relocated to another hospital. His age made his clan send him to a solahma unit. His military career seems ended, but then a new chance arrived: the clan Smoke Jaguar made a trial of possession by take him, and other solahma aerospace pilots, as bondmen, and after winning it, they carried them to his homeplanet of Huntress. There, they offered them the chance to be warriors again, and Ean accepted. When Task Force Serpent arrived and attacked the Jaguars, the old Jade Falcon was already familiarized with his ProtoMech: ironically, a Roc, a walking mythical bird. Ean received the command of a point of ProtoMechs, part of the unit Ocelot Star.[2]

As of 12 May 3060, Ean, piloting a Roc, partakes in the defense of the Pahn City Factory Complex on Huntress against forces from Task Force Serpent. During the battle, he fights the Legacy Grasshopper that, after his insignia, he associated to be a Naga. Ean is gravely injured in the fight by the explosion of a PPC of a Jaguar Warhammer IIC over which he was.[3]

15 March 3060, Ean awoke in the jungle encampment of the last surviving Smoke Jaguar forces. He was informed that his point of ProtoMechs was annihilated in the battle, and he had been recovered unconscious from the battlefield. His injuries and nervous damage were crippling, but that he could pilot a ProtoMech again for a short time. Enemy forces were massing for a new attack against Pahn, the Smoke Jaguars were desperate for warriors to defend, and Ean was the only ProtoMech pilot left. Ean willingly accepted the surgery for the chance to pilot his ProtoMech one more time, even if it would likely result in (more) brain damage and further degrade his personality. The same day, when the Jaguars assaulted the factory for ammunition, Ean fought his last battle. The transformation into a ProtoMech pilot affected his sanity, and he believed himself to be Garuda battling his mortal enemy, the Naga. "Reborn" as Garuda, he went to face again the Naga (The Legacy Grasshopper), fighting both through the factory complex, until Ean was trapped in a open ground, by the 'Mech. He was implicitly killed by a discharge from the Legacy Grasshopper's large laser.[4]

Vehicles

It is unknown what class of fighters Ean piloted as a Jade Falcon, but as a Smoke Jaguar his machine was a Roc ProtoMech.

Notes

Ean appears to have been the last ProtoMech pilot to die in the battle of Huntress, and maybe even of his entire clan.
