Pre-rollout Policy Discussion

Please start discussing here, if you have any concerns regarding this prospective policy. --Revanche (talk|contribs) 18:33, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Once the kinks have been worked out just make it part of the Manual of Style. There's no real "policy" in this after all, just stylisation guidelines. --Xoid 00:15, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
Agree. It fits more into my procedures concept I had, following this post. --Revanche (talk|contribs) 00:28, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

ProtoMechs

The current version of the policy shows only that BattleMech, DropShips, JumpShips, WarShips and ASF class names are italicized. However, wondering if ProtoMechs should be, as well, I looked in Combat Equipment. In that book, Protos are italicized, while Battle Armor are not. As a proponent of the B-E-D method of consensus, I'm changing the policy here to match that title.--Revanche (talk|contribs) 04:22, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

WikiProject Ground Units addresses this. --Scaletail 22:57, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Mission Change Proposal

I propose changing this from an uncompleted policy to a Help article, to be further cat'd under the Manual of Style. --Revanche (talk|contribs) 22:28, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

No apparent concerns regarding this move; assuming consensus and making the change. --Revanche (talk|contribs) 20:39, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Suggested Additions

Can examples be added that show the proper italics for "named" and "numbered" variants? i.e. AS7-D Atlas Danielle, Black Hawk (Standard) 3, Marauder IIC, and Marauder II C. I don't know if I have the italics correct in these examples, but that is my best interpretation of the policy. Cache (talk) 11:04, 26 November 2014 (PST)
