Nation Description
Malagrotta Cooperative is a former regional area of the Federated Suns.
History
Formation & Survival
The Cooperative was originally Federated Suns's Malagrotta Combat Region. Region like other parts of the Periphery border of the FedSuns, had been neglected due to the FedCom Civil War. However, shortly after the Jihad broke out and blockade of New Avalon, many parts of the Outback regions of the FedSuns had even few resources to fight pirate and Taurian raiding. In 3072, the Combat Region's military was being stretched, covering other nearby regions needs. Local officals and the Combat Region's commanding officer, Major General Kirk DeYoung, begun to feel motion to duplicate solution of the newly formed Filtvelt Coalition. Speculating by seperating it would be easier to raise troops to defend the region from pirates.[1]
In March 19th, of 3073, the Malagrotta Combat Region became the Malagrotta Cooperative with its Malagrotta Declaration of Independence. The document cited that FedSun's failure in defending the region, declaring itself independent nation.
Despite its best efforts of its militia, for next three years, the Cooalition had seen more pirate activity within its borders. Then begun to issue Letters of Marques to any pirate band willing enter service of Cooperative.[2]
Pirate Control Nation
In late October 3075, Cooperative leader Marion Whillshire in dispute with his employed pirate, Lady Death Trevaline, murdered her. Due to Consort's Consort Law, he became the leader of the murderous Pirate band she lead. In return the Death's Consorts second in command, Gary Tiqualme, challenged him in duel subsquentually killed him. He took full command of the Consorts and they moved the consolated control on Malagrotta. During Consorts attacks to consolate control, Malagrotta CrMM commander DeYoung is killed. However, three quarters of the Militia under command of General Garman Doucette manage to flee to Filtvelt.[3]
Voorzitter Gary Tiqualme then announced on 25th October, the situation and that now he was leader of the Cooperative.[4]
He then announced on the 25th October that he was now the leader of Malagrotta Cooperative.
Individuals begun leave Cooperative, with signs of Consorts being backed by the Word of Blake.[5] Federated Suns forces on the border of both the Cooperative & the Filtvelt, begin fight Consort raids. Lead by General Raymond-Roger Marsin with his Remagen CrMM, he first assaults pirate activity on Cooperative world of Gronholt in March, 3076. In Sepetember, General Marsin repulse a battalion size force from pillaging Cooperative textile factory on Baranda.[6]
