Overview
When the Federated Suns captured the planet Mendham, the company Mendham Electronics requested that they be able to still produce their line of medical products. However, since the company was founded when Mendham was still part of the Capellan Confederation, they were untrusted. Thus the Federated Suns put the company under Economic Probation. Mendham Electronics was allowed to continue production, but every decision and move the company made for the next 15 years was watched closely for any trace of pro-Capellan or anti-Davion purposes. The year 3025 was their last year of probation.
In time, the company would become an important provider of military equipment to the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns.

Errata
The House Davion (The Federated Suns) sourcebook gives the impression that the planet Mendham and Mendham Electronics were just captured from the Capellan Confederation in the waning years of the Third Succession War. However, the Handbook: House Davion sourcebook states that the planet was taken from the Confederation in the First Succesion War and never given up. Perhaps the Capellans took possession of the planet for a short time during the Third Succession War before losing it again, but this has not been certified.
