Nicolette McKinney was a MechWarrior serving in the Aurigan Coalition's special Rampart Company in the aftermath of the Arano Civil War.[1]

Nicolette McKinney was a quiet, unexceptional child of the middle class from Tyrlon VI, until she became romantically entangled with a member of the Three-Linked Chain, an organized crime syndicate on her homeworld. As her association with the syndicate deepened, she found herself going against her conscience more and more. When Santiago Espinosa's coup came, she realized that her work for the Chain had in small part made it possible.[1]
Concealing her past, she became a mercenary, eventually working with Darius Oliveira during the Arano Restoration. At the end of the war, she left to join Rampart Company.[1]
BattleMech[edit]
"Gecko", a stock LCT-1E Locust was acquired on Smithon. McKinney bought it at a bargain price when she mustered out of the mercenary company.[1]
