Ramiel Bekker (died 3151) was a ristar in Clan Ghost Bear before being taken as Bondsman by Alaric Ward in 3146. He was commonly known as the "WarBear."
Biography
Ramiel was decanted from a strain of the Bekker genetic heritage. The majority of washouts from his sibko would end up placed in the Scientist Caste, a testament to the rare warrior-scientist qualities this genetic combination created. [1]
Among Clan Ghost Bear he quickly rose to ristar status, becoming the second youngest to ever to complete the Clawing Ritual, the scars from which remained on his chest[2][3]. He had extensive involvement in the creation of the Kontio among other Ghost Bear Mechs and the Callisto Battlearmor[4][1][5]. Sometime later he distinguished himself well against Clan Hell’s Horses on Kobe[2].
A staunch Warden, the passivity the Ghost Bear’s exhibited upon forming the Dominion never sat well with him[4]. A Star Colonel at the time he first met Alaric on Terra in May 3135[6]. By February 3146 he had newly tested for Galaxy Commander when Khan Alaric Ward challenged him for a Trial of Possession and won[2].
Clan Wolf
While a Bondsman Bekker designed the Stormwolf and he was insistent on providing Laser Anti-Missile System, Jump Jets, MASC, and a Supercharger as fixed equipment to force MechWarriors to develop tactics based on that fixed equipment[1]. He designed the Amarok which he considered his crowning achievement and borrowed heavily from the Hammerhead[1][7]. He also worked on the Crucible[8]. Star Commander Ray Black, abtakha of Clan Steel Viper was a military analyst on Bekker's staff[9].
On 1 January 3151 Alaric cut Ramiel’s bondcord making him a full Wolf Warrior and putting him in command of the Tactical Response Cluster as a Galaxy Commander once more[10][11].
Death and afterward
Bekker was killed during the headhunter counterattack 7 March 3151 at 10:05[12].
BattleMech
In the 3151 invasion of Terra Bekker piloted a Stormwolf B with a red-painted cockpit[10].
