Tintavel was a small world on the border between the Free Worlds League and the Capellan Confederation near Mansu-ri and Milnerton. It has gone down into histroy as the site of a terrifying battle, which led to the formulation of the Ares Conventions.

Planet History

Tintavel was originally a world within the Capellan Confederation when in 2412, during the Age of War, a FWLM force invaded. The battle displaced into the urban areas and escalated until both sides employed various weapons of mass destruction, leading to over 300.000 casualities and forced the remaining population to abandon the planet. [1]

The Capellan Chancellor Aleisha Liao recognized that one reason for the escalation of the battle were the only vague rules of engagement of this time, that led to numerous similar situations on other worlds. On her behalf the leaders of all the major powers met on the planet of Ares and agreed on a treaty, known as the Ares Conventions, that defined a set of engagement rules, which were supposed to prevent unnecessary loss of life in future conflicts.[1]

Though said beeing depopulated, Tintavel still appears on the maps after the conclusion of the Age of War in the hands of House Marik. However it finally vanished completely during the 2nd Succession War.[2][3]
