Lieutenant Jesse Boulerice was the commander of a Strike Lance within the Broadstreet Bullies, a mercenary unit formed out of the 5th Lyran Regulars and operating almost exclusively in the Chaos March, until 3067.[1][2]

Personal Appearance[edit]

Boulerice had blond hair and blue eyes, which in good times, would not have looked out of place on a LAAF recruitment poster.[2]

History[edit]

5th Lyran Regulars[edit]

Prior to Operation GUERRERO, Boulerice commanded a Scout Lance in the Third Battalion of the 5th Lyran Regulars, under Hauptmann Daniel Grover. However once they were cut off from retreat in 3057 by the Marik-Liao invasion, Boulerice followed Grover into mercenary service with the formation of the Broadstreet Bullies.[3]

Broadstreet Bullies[edit]

With the Bullies, Boulerice initially participated with the unit in a number of minor jobs across the Chaos March, until they were hired to assist local militia on Genoa. Following a dispute between Daniel Grover and the militia commander a few months into the contract regarding supply issues, Boulerice willingly participated in the Bullies looting of several towns for supplies and cash, before the unit withdrew to Fletcher. These action however resulted in the Bullies, as well as its members including Boulerice, being declared rogue by the Mercenary Review and Bonding Commission on Outreach.[3]

Following this, after several jobs for local smugglers, Boulerice participated in a covert raid on Acamar with the Broadstreet Bullies, targeting the holdings of Baron Roderick Brynd. This raid was a part of a Johnston Industries scheme to encourage Brynd to acquire mineral-rich land from House Brynd by making them financially distressed.[4]

Boulerice was however appalled to find the attack was on civilian targets who could offer no resistance, and therefore held his lance back during the attack on the small city of Lopez.[3]

Death[edit]

After this raid, the Bullies returned to Fletcher to find a new contract, which they did with the Word of Blake. Boulerice choose not to join the Bullies with the Blakists, which caused him to become an assassination target for the Word of Blake ROM, resulting in Boulerice going into hiding in the city of Quang Lo on Fletcher. He was not however able to escape the Blakists for long, being killed by their agents shortly after during 3067.[1]

The Word of Blake also killed his lancemates who had tried to leave the Bullies as well, two during their initial escape, and the remaining lancemate to a sniper's bullet in Fletcher's capital city of Royce four days before Boulerice's own death.[3]

BattleMech[edit]

Boulerice was known to pilot a Nightsky BattleMech.[3]
