Stefan Amaris (2717 – 2779, aged 62 years) was born in the Periphery and would become ruler of the Rim Worlds Republic. After befriending the young Richard Cameron, he killed off the entire royal Cameron line and usurped the throne of the Star League. This touched off a 13-year civil war between his forces and those of the Star League Defense Force, led by Aleksandr Kerensky. Eventually, he and his family were executed by Kerensky during the reconquest of Terra.
